Two shoes built on a similar silhouette can look very different depending on the materials used. The material strongly affects the look, the feel and the way a shoe ages over time. Here is each material we use, where it is found and how to care for it.
Short-hair suede
Used on the Booted Goat, the SDT, the Sneakpeak and the Mule. The nap is dense and short, which gives a deep, even colour. It is cared for with a dry brush, in one direction, and a suede eraser on marks.

Long-hair suede
Used on the Healy and the Ibex. The nap is longer and denser, which catches the light differently and gives the boot more volume. Brush it gently, in the direction of the hair, without pressing.
Smooth and grained leather
Smooth leather makes up the whole upper of the SDT Pure Love and the reinforcements on the Booted Goat. Grained leather, on the Healy, has a visible texture that hides small marks better. Both are cleaned with a damp cloth.
Patent leather
Used for the line that runs along the Daytona. Its lacquered finish reflects light. It is cleaned with a damp cloth, then a dry cloth, without a brush.
Hand-dyed leather
On the Cor-V Faded, several shades are applied by hand on Italian leather. Each pair shows slight variations. Wipe gently, without scrubbing.
Cotton and polyester
The GTR hoodie is made of heavyweight cotton with French terry on the sleeves and pocket. The Jersey Joga is made of polyester, like the football shirts it is inspired by. Both are washed cold, inside out.

Questions
What is the difference between short-hair and long-hair suede?
Long-hair suede has a longer, denser nap, which gives more volume and texture. It needs a softer brush, used in the direction of the hair.
Which material is the easiest to care for?
Smooth leather. A damp cloth is enough in most cases.
Does suede last?
Yes, provided it is protected before the first wear and brushed dry regularly.
Why does my Cor-V Faded look different from the photos?
Because the dye is applied by hand, which creates slight variations from one pair to the next.
